Bajirao Mastani - Brilliant Piece Of Cinema :)

Still thinking which would be the best positive adjective to start the review with smile emoticon 'mind blowing' , 'brilliant', ''mesmerizing','Awesome', yes I can go on and on. I am glad I chose to watch this one later i mean after Dilwale just restores faith in good cinema. Bajirao Ballal (Balaji) Bhat also known as Bajirao was a noted general who served as the Maratha Peshwa (Prime Minister) to the fifth Chhatrapati (Emperor) Chhatrapati Shahu Raje Bhosle of the Maratha Empire from 1720 until Bajirao's death , Bajirao fought over 41 battles and is reputed to have never lost one. Bajirao is acknowledged as one of the greatest warriors in Indian history. He is credited with expanding the Maratha Empire.A great warrior from pre independence era. Sanjay Leela Bhansali was determined to make a film on the lives of Peshwa Bajirao, Kashibai and Mastani for quite some time now. I remember very well he kept vacillating between numerous actors, before he chose on the present star cast of BAJIRAO MASTANI and surely he couldn't have chosen a better star cast , everyone have given one of their career best performances. The love story, the conflict, the dramatic altercations, the battle sequences and of course, the mersmerising setting... BAJIRAO MASTANI is an enthralling period film that transports you to an era you had only read about in the history books. At the same time, loved the introduction of the on-screen characters and the sequence of events with utmost simplicity so that the enthusiastic spectator is able to get the grip of the goings-on effortlessly. I am sure Sanjay Leela Bhansali have made the movie as per his imagination trying to keep the information as authentic as possible hopefully. Coming to performances every actor is simply brilliant. Ranveer Singh is stupendous and clearly in super form. He holds you attentive right from the first frame till the penultimate moments. The effortlessness with which he gets into the skin of the character is noteworthy. In addition, the chemistry with both Deepika and Priyanka is delightful. It must be said that this is his finest work to date. Deepika Padukone is enchanting as Mastani and displays the strength as an actor in scene. The year 2015 clearly belongs to her for choosing diverse parts and delivering winning portrayals in PIKU, TAMASHA and now, BAJIRAO MASTANI. Priyanka Chopra's portrayal of Kashibai is sheer brilliance, proving yet again that she's among the finest actors we have today. The supporting cast is top notch, especially Tanvi Azmi is absolutely terrific, Milind Soman is wonderful, Vaibbhav Tatwawdi [and Yateen Karyekar are simply superb, Mahesh Manjrekar, Raza Murad are Aditya Pancholi enact their respective parts very well. Despite a run time of almost 2.40 hours , the pacing is just right and at no point does the screenwriting deviate into unnecessary tracks and the taut writing has definitely helped further , the end result is nothing less than a brilliant piece of cinema. The battle sequences executed by action director Sham Kaushal are awe-inspiring and have been executed with magnificence. The production designby Sriram Kannan Iyengar, Sujeet Subhash Sawant, Saloni Ankush Dhatrak is eye-filling and makes you acknowledge the effort that must have gone into recreating the long-gone era. The apparel as well as the styling of the characters is truly majestic. I give 10/10 to this one , undoubtedly the best release this weekend. This is surely a cinematic gem one cannot miss. If you thinking which one to watch between this awesome cinema and Dilwale then obviously undoubtedly this one hands down, it would be outright unfair to compare Sheer Class with Crass. We make mediocre cinemas of super duper hit but this piece of brilliant cinema deserves much much more than that,a piece of history we should all be proud of and you will realise what a tolerant nation we always have been right from the time Mughals have invaded us. The dialogues , the face off scenes are simply superb. My mom usually gets bored during most of the hindi movies I drag her to watch with me and she loved this one smile emoticon Ok so here's the truth if you have to chose please please chose this one over Dilwale and make this great cinema a commercial success too. Take a bow Team Bajirao Mastani ..you guys deserve it. The time invested in the dark dim cinema is so worth it and every bit of ticket money is worth it :) Recommended Recommended Recommended :)
