Thor - Real smart combination of Norse mythology stuff and the real world Marvel Universe...Big Screen Watch in 3D A Must :)

I knew this would have mind blowing special effect but even in terms of story and performance this one did not disappoint at all on the contrast its quite a fun movie to watch out for with good story, humor and absolutely stunning special effects and yes I am waiting for the sequel for this one :)

Marvel surely knows how to pump life to their comic characters and make them alive in the best manner possible be it Spider Man/Iron Man and now Thor which only has taken the scale higher :)

Chris Hemsworth as the Norse god Thor, and Tom Hiddleston as his villainous brother Loki actually shines the most in this movie and carries themselves in the most brilliant manner and the presence of stalwarts like Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman,Rene Russo does not overpower their performance for sure.

All I can say in Hail The Mighty Thor :)

Please enjoy this one in big screen and in 3D of course :)

Source Code - Excellent...Brilliant....Superb.....One Of A Kind...Don't Miss This One :)

Having seen getting great ratings pouring for this movie from everywhere I was quite looking forward to watch this one and made sure I started my Saturday by watching this one and I am glad I took the decision must say all the hype and good words said about this movie is totally well deserved and worth every penny paid towards the ticket :)

I am not really a big sci fi genre fan but must say enjoyed this one quite a bit as this one comes across as a good suspenseful thriller as well apart from being futuristic and yes the story is quite interesting and keep you on the edge of your seat where you wait to watch so whats going to happen next :)

Yes like most sci fi's it does come across a bit complicated certain times but enjoyable at all times.

Source Code keeps you guessing throughout, anticipating who the bomber could be.

Loved Jake Gyllenhaal's performance who has a strong sense of justice, duty, honor, and love.Michelle Monaghan is a pleasure to watch ,Vera Farmiga's character is quite strong and likeable too and yes you will see a bit of Russell Peters too.

Don't miss this one...

I Am - A Beautiful Poignant Slice Of Life With Its Good And Bad...Worth A Watch..Recommended

I have been watching Director's movies since his first one which was the awesome 2005 release 'My Brother Nikhil' - beautiful story about homosexual relationship in the conservative Indian society and the way relationships and life around the people concerned changes and after that I would consider this one as his best work after 'My Brother Nikhil'.

I AM is based on true stories and instances which we are familiar with in the current modern Indian society, the issues and the bruises that we are all living and dealing with happiness and sadness flowing along the sides in proportions which we are yet to decipher which is more and which is less in quantity.

There are 4 stories weaved in this movie connecting one to another so there is no exact culmination of the four stories but each one of them stands out completely with their scope of individuality and gives you loads and loads food for thought so much to ponder upon.

I loved all the 4 stories but if I have to chose the one favorite it would be that consisting Nandita Das loved the way she just stops convincing others why she lives her life the way she does she just listens to her heart which leads to ultimate happiness and causes harm to none :) And of course Nandita Das is top notch, enacting the complex role with absolute ease its an absolute pleasure to watch her perform she is indeed a great actress with talent in abundance.

Both Juhi Chawla and Manisha Koirala were such a delight to watch unlike the Katrinas, coming to other notable performances would be that of Sanjay Suri,Rahul Bose,Arjun Mathur,Abhimanyu Singh and Rushaad Rana.

Please don't miss this movie one of a kind...Brilliant...Recommended

Shor In The City - Brilliant Film ...Great Performances....Worth A Watch

This movie is brilliant no doubt and holds stark reality which can hit you and hit you really hard but the reality has been blended quite well with equal dose of humor so that the movie does not become dry and grim and yes this one reminded me of the 2002 release City of God but I am glad this wasn't as that crude and harsh..and no this is not a copy or anything of that sort but shows the city I totally love in both its good and bad shade yes I am talking about Mumbai :)

Tusshar Kapoor was so good I am really impressed and I am sure you will be when you see him in this and so was the rest of the cast everyone excelled in their respective performances. There's an actor called Pitobash part of Tusshar's friend trio who is simply outstanding and without doubt the discovery of the season he may not be super hot but he is a brilliant actor for sure and yes Sendhil gives a decent performance and is hot for sure ;)

Another must watch movie along with 'Chalo Dilli'...Recommended for sure :)

Chalo Dilli - Real good story and fantastic performance now thats what I call a good hindi movie :)

Here comes another good Hindi movie of 2011 actually since March 2011 there was a total drought in the Hindi Movie releases I mean yes there were releases but all style and lacked substance big time but then like April Showers this one comes as a breather and a real good one at that.

So the plot of the story yes kind of resembles 'Due Date'(2010) & PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES(1987) but thats it the whole treatment of the movie is completely Indian and something we all can relate to and i so completely loved this one.

This is a real fun story about two people from two complete different walks of life getting stuck in a journey created due to unavoidable circumstances and discovering many things in general about life which they had not realized earlier and this whole discovery during this interesting journey makes this movie worth every watch for sure.

There are some terrific true to life moments in this movie which kind of sets you thinking.

All in all a real good movie recommended for sure...

The Roommate - Decent Psychological Thriller but you can save yourself going to the theater get a DVD instead....

I had decided to watch this one when I saw the trailer of this movie the first time there is something about thrillers be it horror or mystery it always kind of attracts me and I find it very hard to resist and finally do watch them always :)

Coming to the story it had quite a bit resemblance to 1992 release 'Single White Female' the difference here is the setup which is college campus. The film revolves around Sarah (Minka Kelly) who is on her own, going to college and learning new things and then she gets herself a stalker roommate- Rebecca (Leighton Meester). As soon as Rebecca and Sarah become closer to each other, strange events begin to occur, each of Sarah's close friends or allies becomes hurt, or sometimes even killed (ex boyfriend)

So all in all watchable thriller wait for the DVD

Dum Maaro Dum - Full Style Zero Substance...totally lacks dum....not worth it for sure...Get the DVD of 1987 'Jalwa' instead...

Hindi movies this year started with a bang in January 2011 and kind of continued with good movies in Feb'2011 as well but since March'11 the releases seem to have gone dry and I guess World Cup is termed as the main factor for that but after World Cup got over with India's glorious and memorable win everyone had thought 'Dum Maro Dum' will be a good movie including me but must say I was disappointed big time.

The movie has lot of style good style but in terms of content its completely lacks substance big time.

The topic of Goa and drugs with rave parties is a great subject but what one makes out of it is upto the maker and 1987 release 'Jalwa' starring Naseeruddin Shah is the best movie made about Goan and Drugs and 1989 release 'Goonj' starring Juhi Chawla and Kumar Gaurav was also quite decent,I would recommend you those but would never recommend this one for sure.

Performance wise the men in the movie were all good - Abhishek Bachhan,Rana Daggubati - Super Hot,Pratiek Babbar and even Aditya Pancholi though would not like to comment about their half baked idiotic characters specially the one of Rana Daggubati's

Dev Anand should have never allowed his cult of a beautiful number(dum maaro dum) to be remade is this trashy manner and pictured in a real cheap vulgar way on Deepika Padukone she looks outright cheap and vulgar no class absolutely I would say Zeenat Aman was a complete Diva in the original one and Deepika Padukone is absolutely nowhere close to that from any angle.

Bipasha Basu looks wow and thats it her character also was half etched and somehow I felt no sympathy at all when she is embroiled in a drug racket because she was so totally responsible for getting herself in the messy situation in the first place and the same applies for Prateik Babbar's character as well.

I had gone with the expectation that at least it would interesting but total waste of time and money and absolutely not worth it.

The Skeleton Key - People are much scary than ghosts for sure and looks can be so deceiving .....

Not sure why did I chose this movie to watch today but picked this up randomly as this starred Kate Hudson and today happens to be her birthday so good enough to have watched this one and somehow having Scream 4 and Unknown last weekend had aroused sudden interest in thriller movies all together.

The movie slowly but surely creates fear in your mind with events unfolding one after the other and you start linking things to each other making the movie become more mysterious and intriguing.

You are bound to experience a sever jolt when the movie moves towards conclusion and reiterates that people are much scary than ghosts for sure and looks can be so deceiving.

The atmospheric surroundings, the haunting score, beautiful, spooky photography, and some fantastic acting by Gena Rowlands and Kate Hudson make this movie worth watching all the more.

Ok so I am not going to reveal more as that would be taking the real good story away.

I would recommend to see this in a dark rainy evening or to have the best effects switch all the lights except for the DVD player of course and have a flickering candle in one corner of your room :)

Unknown - Fast paced thriller keeps you on your edge and takes you by complete surprise till the end from the start, loved it...

This is one movie which keeps you guessing from the start to end to what to expect in the next scene. The concept of stolen identity has been done quite sometime in Hollywood and each time with an unique story and Unknown though catering to the same category of stolen identity has feet of its own and takes you by complete surprise like Bangalore's weather this movie too is quite unpredictable and thats what is the USP of this fast paced thriller.
Liam Neeson keeps you totally engaged in the action throughout the movie must say with age he just seems to getting better, loved the spunky performance by Diane Kruger she is really good,Bruno Ganz as an aging former Stasi agent gives an outstanding performance and rest of the cast is quite good too.

The movie is very well shot, quite entertaining...Recommended for sure...

The Lincoln Lawyer - Great Movie..Fabulous Story...Fantastic Performances.....Worth A Watch For Sure...

Honestly i never thought Mathew McConaughey could come up with such a great performance and such a great movie as I have always seen him in light romantic comedies so this one definitely came as a complete pleasant surprise both in terms of the content of the movie and his performance as well.

Based on the book by Michael Connelly of the same name this one is a thrilling drama about about a smart and smooth defense attorney Mick Haller, played by Mathew McConaughey, who represents a high-profile client on charges of attempted murder.

As the story moves ahead with each passing day a new evidence related to the murder popping up which only makes the case more and more interesting and the movie more and more intriguing and keeps you guessing till the end.

Great acting by William H. Macy, Michael Pena, John Leguizamo, Josh Lucas, and Marisa Tomei and yes Ryan Philippe too.

I would surely recommend this movie and trust me you will definitely like this one :)

The Adjustment Bureau - Romantic,Interesting and kind of inspired from Inception and Matrix

Do we control our destiny or does our destiny control us? Well it is like asking the age old question who came first the egg or the chicken and the discussion about the same can go on and on.

So with the concept of destiny and inspirations from 'Inception' and 'Matrix' and romance thrown in I won't say this is path breaking cinema but definitely an interesting movie to watch out for.

Matt Damon as the passionate lover is absolutely lovable,he is at his most charming, lovable, and most moving here completely loved him in this one.

Emily Blunt too was excellent in this movie and she looks gorgeous throughout.

Definitely an interesting movie to watch out for.

Any Matt Damon fan just has to see this one :)

Rango - Great story with great animation but a bit bizarre for sure so kids might not enjoy this like RIO and too lengthy

Rango is definitely not your usual feel good look good kinda movie in fact it looks anything but good or attractive or colorful actually its dry, dirty and ugly and full of reptiles which can give you an yucky feeling if you are not a reptile fan I am not one for sure and really wanted to throw up at few scenes and for an animated movie its way too way too lengthy.

To be honest I don't mind watching many reruns of Rio/Tangled/Gnomeo and Juliet but there is no way I am going to ever watch this one twice.

The animation of this movie is simply outstanding and the story about someone from nobody from somebody is outstanding too but maybe I didn't like it so much as I don't like reptiles at all and the animation being brilliant makes them kind of look real and hence I felt more eeew :)

If you are fan of animated movies and don't mind reptiles you can surely watch this one but I would not recommend this one for very small kids.

Scream 4 - Scary to the hilt and extremely interesting I quite enjoyed this one :)

I haven't seen any of the Scream series before but must say liked and enjoyed this one quite a bit yes I might get sleepless nights for sometime but the chills and thrills of this movie makes it worth it every bit of it .

The movie had so many startling moments that I literally jumped out of my seat most of the time and the twists and turns in this movie are so unexpected that it sets you thinking that OK so it was like that.. simply mind blowing I would say full of suspense which keeps you on your edge.

Complex any sort can be really harmful.

All I would say is you better be ready to scream and scream really loud :)

Just Go With It - Just Go For It And Have Fun Laughing :)

This is one fun movie don't apply any logic and you will have fun and loads of it :)

Yes it is predictable i mean you know whats going to happen but its the continuous fun moments which makes you laugh much more than often.

Adam Sandler surely knows how to tickle the funny bone and so does Jennifer Anniston there is something really nice about I have liked her in almost in all her movies except for the recent 'the bounty hunter' but the real star of the movie is the child star'Bailee Madison' she is just amazing loved her in this movie.

So if you don't mind some mindless fun Just Go For It I say :)

Rio - Time and again its proved some animated movies are miles ahead of regular movies and this is one such example ...Watch it

Good Animated movies have this special ability to keep one captivated completely and enjoy the fun ride and Rio so completely does that ,every moment here is fun moment you will not get bored even for a fraction of a second I can guarantee you on that and the location of Rio in its animated version is completely colorful, pulsating, gorgeous and dazzling.

The story is the tale of good wins over evil and add to it brilliant animation and voice overs and loads and loads of laughter just makes this so much more watchable and wanting for more :)

"Oh, how wish I was back in my cage, with my mirror, and my little bell" the sweetest line I have heard in long time.

Most important lesson to take away from this delightful movie is nothing can be more precious than freedom in life :)

Go for it ...You will love it :)
