The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey- Visually Brilliant

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey - It was one of a kind cinematic experience the visuals so brilliant that your eyes don't want to stop experiencing it except for the sequences with Goblins I personally thought they were yuck and was just wanting to get done with those scenes. I remember reading the book and not enjoying it so much the movie is a visual experience so surely its better than the book but wait there are certain sequences like the one with Goblins which I did not like it one bit . So the first half of the movie is really enjoyable and later half it picks up in the last twenty minutes but wait the movie is not yet we will have wait till December 2013 for the next part to come as this one is incomplete.. So if you are into fantasy movies then surely this one is for you but if you don't like them then you might not enjoy this one...

Playing for Keeps - This one is for Gerard Butler Fans :)

This one is strictly for fans of Gerard Butler because the best thing about this otherwise predictable romantic comedy is the delicious and super hot Gerard Butler :) What I failed to figure out was what was Catherine Zeta Jones,Uma Thurman and Dennis Quaid in their insignificant quirky roles.. This movies is all about Gerard Butler's charm and good looks and honestly I too went for the same reason so I am not complaining :) So if you are expecting some novel story then sorry but if you are looking out for Hottie Gerard Butler then yes have fun otherwise save this one for DVD :)

Hotel Transylvania - A Complete Joyride

Hotel Transylvania - Every monster Monster too needs a vacation and voila Dracula's five star lavish resort is ready for them to live it up and mind you no humans allowed even remotely close to it :) I thoroughly enjoyed this joyride with great animation real good fun lines and a sweet story yes the target audience is kids but does surely does not stop from us adults to enjoy it so book your tickets for this fun ride :) I must it was extra fun to watch the zombies who were the hotel staff they were just hilarious and also the do not disturb signs which was too cool but in reality if they were really like one would surely get scared :)) A must watch and I can guarantee this is the best release we have this weekend :)

Talaash - one word wow

Talaash - Discard all the phoney smses or updates you have received about this suspense thriller and nah it has no I repeat absolutely no resemblance with the Vidya Balan starrer 'Kahaani' this one is a taut thriller which is bound to leave you astonished for sure and I am not sharing anymore details as it would spoil your watching this taut thriller.. Go for it don't miss this one for many various reasons and few of them which comes to my mind first are as follows: Aamir Khan's yet another awesome performance no wonder we all eagerly wait for his movies he makes sure the wait is worth it :) Rani Mukherjee a great actress will always remain a great one no matter what Kareena Kapoor is ravishing and has given a good performance as well.. Nawazuddin Siddiqui is super in the brief role that he has and that holds good for actor in this movie.. Reema Kagti you surely have come up with a great movie and feel really happy to see a woman director coming up and getting commercial success as well way to go... Ram Sampath's music surely stays with you for sure.. When the mystery is finally solved one word which came to my mind right after was 'WOW' ... Book your tickets now :)

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 - The epic finally came to a well deserved end yes in between didn't like 2010 release Eclipse and the 2011 release too of the same series but this one was quite enjoyable... Bella Swan (Kristen Stewart ) becoming the vampire and showing her powers won't say she was outstanding but not bad too :) And Bella's hot true friend Jacob (Taylor Lautner) standing by her like the rock of Gibraltar was the best character of this movie well my personal favorite for sure :) Edward Cullen(Robert Pattinson) is not bad too.. I think the make up artist takes the vampire bit too seriously all the vampires specially the guys their lips are painted wee bit too red for their good yet to meet a real vampire so can't really comment if this is right or not :) I had been watching the Twilight series since 2008 so there was no way I was going to miss this one and am glad I saw it with a friend who enjoys the Twilight series ... If you have been watching the Twilight series suggest you don't miss this one ...

Skyfall - The sensitive side of Bond :)

Skyfall - Bond is back and how must say in full style and style in abundance.Coincidentally 2012 also marks 50th year of Bond movies which has gripped our lives and I am sure will keep us gripped in the next 100 years or more as well I may not remain alive but Bond will but yes the face of Bond of might change though. Surely this one is the best Bond movie of Daniel Craig I didn't quite like his last one 'Quantam Of Solace' yes 'Casino Royale' but this one is undoubtedly the best of his Bond movie so far. Javier Bardem is quite impressive and I thought his makeover is just superb does gives the creeps and jitters Judi Dench surely a woman of substance in the role of M noone can fill her presence for sure.. Little did Ian Fleming realize he has created a character which surely is indispensable :) Awesome movie with some mind blowing stunts, visual surely this one is chase and run story but the treatment and performance which gives the class and makes it apart is what makes the trip to the theater even on a rainy cold day completely worth it :) Don't miss it whether you are a Bond fan or not :)"

Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana - Simple and Sweet

Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana - In our country where food is given much importance this food movie comes across as pretty interesting with a good storyline. Yes this movie does not follow the formula Hindi movie guideline and that is what is the main differentiator of this much likeable movie. A good movie with a good storyline and some real good performances makes this a decent watch but this week surely 'Skyfall' will have much more a footfall than any other release..but this one is worth a watch for sure"

Chasing Mavericks - Awesome

Chasing Mavericks - Base on the life of the phenomenal Surfer Jay Moriarty this sport drama is bound to keep you inspired with a beautiful soulful story embedded at the same time. The filming of of the huge waves, surfers is just spellbinding loved every bit of it. Loved the performances given by every actor be it Gerard Butler,Johny Weston or Elizabeth Shue. Inspiring and touching and yes there is a beautiful story about friendship as well. This one is a great movie.Go Watch It ...Don't miss it..."

Wreck - It Ralph - Superb

Wreck-It Ralph - This is an amazing animated movie one of a kind well coming from Disney had to be just fabulous. Based on the video game characters unveils the message of just being oneself in a brilliant way and the best relationship in this world which is friendship is depicted oh so beautifully. The broad range of emotions they extract from us the audience as we immerse ourselves in their world. The joy of victory, the acute pain of loss, laughter and even tears, one can feel all these and more in this awesome movie. This one surely deserves an Oscar nomination under the animated movie category and I won't be surprised if they bag the award... A must must watch movie...don't miss it ...highly recommended :)"

Jab Tak Hai Jaan - Love Is In The Air :)

Jab Tak Hai Jaan- This one is a poignant love story encompassing of three main characters Samar (SRK),Meera(Katrina Saif) and Akira (Anushka Sharma ). This one is not a typical love story but has a certain old world charm to it with loads of twists and turns and that eventually adds up to the length of the movie but I am not complaining as I really liked it :) This love story is conventional yet unconventional but attention grabbing for sure and for once a love triangle where there is no unwanted melodrama between the three.. One caution about the Indian Army bit don't take that very seriously its cinematic liberty and coming from Defence Background I can vouch its not reality but kind of far from it :) Yash Chopra - Respect Sir we need to learn from you how to always remain young at heart and keep the faith and hope and love always alive ..here most of us are cribbing about old age by the time one hits 35...We surely are going to miss you SRK - Nonone noone I repeat noone else could have done this role and given the life to the role of Samar the way he has done no wonder he is loved despte the negative energy people read losers shower on him but these are what winners are made of they care a batshit of this world :) Love you love you and no i am not giving biased opinion he deserves the accolades even God will agree with me :) Katrina Kaif - She looks wow a complete stunner but sorry can't say the same about her acting ...someday I hope I can write a para about her acting skills too Anushka Sharma - Love this babe a complete natural and a free spirit with a wow bidy enough to soar the temperature high :) And yes she is a good actor It was wonderful to see the most awesome real life couple - Neetu Singh - Rishi Kapoor you can really feel the love its so sweet. Sarika too did a great job... Love stories will come and go. But no one will make them like Yash Chopra. Just don't miss this heartwarming love story! This is the least we can do for a man who gave his best till his last breath...as I write this my eyes are a bit moist but with warmth, love, faith, hope and happiness in this little heart :)"

Son Of Sardar - Awful

"Son Of Sardar - Nah didnt go to the theater as mentioned earlier but managed to see the downloaded version ... Crappy movie all the way... AD(Ajay Devgun) is a good actor but in this one he looks bad and he does a bad job of acting which otherwise he is good at Sanjay Dutt is completely odd he looks stoned and disinterested almost all the time and looks wise ugh is right word Sonakshi Sinha - pathetic.... good for her she comes from a strong filmy cum political background she will always movies with A - list heroes for sometime i guess Juhi Chawla - if you thought she is irritating in Kurkure ads then u shud see her in this one and then u will find the kurkure ad very very entertaining All the people who are complaining that how a certain 40 plus actor can kiss a heroine and looking old etc etc should see these bunch of 40 plus and 50 plus actors behaving like complete buffoons and looking stoned yes nightmarish is the right word. I am thankful to my friend who saved me from watching this outright downmarket, cheap, disgusting and an absolute piece of dirt.. And let AD's next Golmaal series of movie come out we will see who books more theaters"

Hope Springs

"Hope Springs - This one is a coming of age romantic comedy with some great performances by the very seasoned Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones and yes Steve Carell too. The movie has some real fun dialogues must say a simple plot given a special treatment turns out to be a great watch. Good movie worth a watch for sure and if you are a Meryl Streep fan all the more :)"
Life of Pi (3D) - This movie is sheer brilliant just completely loved it specially having the book read recently yes there have been edits from the book but then the essence of the story is extremely well captured not for once it does not let you down. Ang Lee has kept us spellbound throughout the movie with his mind blowing direction and a fantastic adaptation of the already fabulous book ..great work indeed. We get to see glimpses of Pi in different phases of his life right from his childhood but the one phase that stays with us is of course the teenager one the one which faces life with full determination, grit and faith and never loses hope they keyword to this gift called life . Suraj Sharma OMG was this is his first movie just can't believe it this guy is simply brilliant and I very happy that he finally got his hall ticket to write his exam he is a first year college student from St.Stephens Delhi this guy along with Ang Lee deserves all the pats in the back but no wait how can I forget the 450 pound Royal Bengal Tiger - Richard Parker and the cinematographer and the background music and the brief roles by Adil Hussain and Tabu yes they are brief but does not fail to leave behind their impact for sure.. Tabu - So delighted to see her she is a class apart a fine actress and a complete stunner but too old for our Hindi movie 40 and 50 plus heroes i guess no wonder we hardly get to see her and then again Bollywood movie directors too hardly come up with anything good apart from the brilliant exceptions like English Vinglish,Cheeni Kum,Paa,Barfi once can just count them anyways surely hoping and waiting to see more of her movies hope some good Indian director gives her a fantastic role that she truly deserves :) Adil Hussain very impressive must say.. A brilliant movie in all aspects whether the content of the story or visual brilliance I was completely immersed in the world of Pi and Richard Parker in those 127 minutes and yes for once I wished this movie was a bit longer :) This is one movie you just cannot afford to miss all I can say is miss it at your own risk as missing something like this would be a sin for sure..... It left me with the following two thoughts : Faith is a faith with many rooms.. And above all don't lose hope ever... Happy Weekend Guys :)
