Monster vs Aliens

Monster vs Aliens is an entertaining film, with clever and witty dialogue, as well as terrific action a real good animated movie from Dreamworks.
I was smiling through out the entire film, and had about 5 or 6 hard laugh-out-loud moments throughout. The voice overs in this movie are really impressive, Hugh Laurie does a fantastic job as the voice of the sophisticated (though mildly insane) Dr. Cockroach, and most of the laughs are generated by Seth Rogen's voice of B.O.B.. Even Reese Witherspoon's voice of Susan helps you feel some sympathy for her character in the beginning of the film, and Stephen Colbert's voice does a fantastic job as President Hathaway.
A definite nomination for Oscar 2010 under the category of Animated Movies.

Last Chance Harvey

'Last Chance Harvey' is a real nice romantic which portrays life's little moments very beautifully which makes life worth living I guess..and a second chance in life which all of us deserve we just got to recognize it and follow the signs..
Both Emma Thompson and Dustin Hoffman proves what seasoned actors are all about and its an absolute pleasure to watch them both.
The story emphasizes on the emotional ups and downs of Harvey(Dustin Hoffman) and Kate (Emma Thompson) 's life, they both are waiting for their respective second chances in life (personal) and they meet each during the journey towards that second chance where they were just meant to be each other and everything just falls in place.
Finally the movie shows there is no age tag to do anything in life be it finding your true love or learning something new....

The Pianist

The Pianist is one of most amazing movie about survival of the fittest and never giving up in life be what the situation in life is ,something very close in the lines of another amazing movie the shawshank redemption.
The Pianist with all its sadness has beautifully woven the message of never ever giving up in life.
Adrien Brody deserved the academy award hands down for his mind blowing performance it definitely moved me to tears but did leave a smile of triumph in my face as the movie moved towards the end. This endearing story is about human relationships and struggle to survive with all the hardships that comes along with it.
The Pianist is a true story based on Wladyslaw Szpilman's life his views about the holocaust is very well depicted which makes this movie visually brilliant and the narrative too is brilliant about this movie.
The Director Roman Polanski captures the essence of human emotion very well through out the movie , seeing the convincing portrayal of the helpless i really felt like wish I could go back to time and could be of some help to them.
I am someone who believes in rising from rock bottom to heights so this one was surely very very inspiring for me and will always remain one of my all time favorites for sure.
If you have not watched this one you have missed something really valuable in life for sure..dont miss this one.

8*10 Tasveer

Powered by: Chakpak.com 8 x 10 Tasveer

Much contrary to what the critics have to say Nagesh Kukunoor's latest fare 8*10 tasveer is definitely a well made interesting thriller which keeps one glued to the seat till the end.
8 x 10 Tasveer is the story of Jai (Akshay Kumar) who is a forest ranger in Canada. Living with his girlfriend Sheila (Ayesha Takia) he has nothing to do with his father Jatin’s (Benjamin Gilani) multi million dollar business. However, one day his father dies on his boat. This surprises many as Jatin was a strong swimmer and often traveled on his boat.
Now Jai has an ability to see into people’s past after seeing their latest picture. He has helped many find their lost relatives like that. Detective Happi (Jaaved Jaaferi) arrives on the scene claiming to be a man who has benefited a lot from Jatin’s help. He tells Jai that according to him, Jatin has been murdered and his death is not as simple as it seems. Jai too on the other hand is quite restless and has this recurring dream which shows his father asking him for Jai’s help.
And that’s what leads Jai into a search to discover the truth behind his father’s death. The picture taken just before his father’s death shows Jatin, Jatin’s brother Sunder (Anant Mahdevan), Jatin’s lawyer Anil (Girish Karnad) and Adit (Rushad Rana). Jai begins to suspect each of them as the murderer. But every time he sets about trying to find out who the killer is, the person in question gets killed. Just when Jai thinks he has found his father’s real killer, there is yet another twist in the tale.

8 x 10 Tasveer is a brilliantly made film. From the script to the direction, Nagesh Kukunoor has done every job with perfect precision. The script leaves you at the edge of your seat and the ending is something that you would never expect.

In terms of acting Akshay has carried out each scene with perfection and this is definitely one of his best performances till date. This is Ayesha Takia's better performances for sure. She shows many shades in her character and each is pulled off well. Sharmila Tagore plays the mother’s role with ease. The rest of the cast have done an equally good job but since the film does revolve largely around Akshay, it his performance that stays with you well after the film.

All in all 8 x 10 Tasveer is a very well made film and worth a watch for sure
