National Velvet - Now this is what I call a simply marvelous movie

Based on a book by Enid Bagnold this gem of a movie from the golden past tells the story of Velvet Brown, a young English girl with dreams of entering her beloved horse into competition at the prestigious Grand National horse race. The film follows her journey full of conviction and self belief as she trains her horse with the aid of a former jockey and the support of her parents.
The characters are created in such a way that somewhere you tend to get emotionally involved with them and tend to grow close to your heart.
It was absolutely heartening to see a world so trusting in that era and that humanism from humanity is long vanished and sorely missed I must say..
This movie is about believing in yourself and working hard to reach your goals.
And now for a bit of trivia...the stunt riding was performed by the now famous ‘Horse Whisperer', Monty Roberts. I believe he is given mentioned for his riding in the movie credits.
Watch it this wonderful movie if you can grab a DVD of the same ..you will love it.

Hereafter - I won't say this Clint Eastwood or Matt Damon's best but worth a watch for the visual effects and a fascinating storyline

Yes this is a thought provoking movie and about a topic as mysterious as life after death with some superb visual effects thrown in.
The setting of the story is very interesting with three different people from three different parts of the globe having a similar experience of getting in touch with death in different ways and finally when they meet the outcome takes you by surprise and must say the culmination of all these three characters is very positive.
The scene where Tsunami hits Phuket is sheer brilliant and can make you jump out of your seat and though the subject has been done earlier must add this one bears no resemblance to them and quite original and interesting.
But having seen earlier clint Eastwood directed movies like 'Gran Torino','Changeling'I thjavascript:void(0)

ought those were better but yes this one sure is an intelligent and smart movie for sure and yes Matt Damon has given a good performance so has the French Actress Cecile De France and Frankie Mc Laren.
Worth A Watch For Sure

Tanu Weds Manu -Wonderful First Hour But Middle Of Second Hour Gets Shaky And Climax Too

Ok here's a movie you know for sure whats going to happen in the end the title of the movie itself gives it away from the start but as in most of the cases(Romantic Comedies) you too are eager to see the journey that will ultimately culminate into the happy ending we all are waiting for.
The movie starts in a real nice interesting note capturing the essence and nuances of a small North Indian town (Kanpur)extremely well and very realistic at that and the character of NRI Doctor (Madhavan) is realistic portraying as the nice simple guy without any false accent was the best thing to show.
So here's the simple guy next door NRI Doctor falls head over heels for the slightly crazy girl despite she being drunk and sleepy and here starts the journey which does keep you entertained and engrossed completely for the first hour of the movie but the director Anand Rai seemed to be in some sort of hurry because from middle of the second hour it turns out like a shoddy job and it will keep you wondering why are simple things getting so complex for no reason at all.
Madhavan is fantastic,Kangana Ranaut is nice but the performances which are truly outstanding are that of Deepak Dobriyal,Ejaz Khan,Jimmy Shergill,Swara Bhaskar,Rajendra Gupta, K.K. Raina, Navni Parihaar and Deepti Mishra.
On the whole this one is a feel good light entertaining just wish the last half hour was more engrossing and didn't have so many loopholes. You can watch it once for sure.

La Vie en Rose - Beautiful story of rags to riches and self destruction somewhere in between

Based on the life of the legendary and extraordinary story of Edith Piaf, this truly is a beautiful story of rags to riches, the struggle and enormous success but self destruction somewhere seeps in and a beautiful life is cut short and leaves behind loads of memories which is depicted beautifully and in the most realistic manner.
One has to be of a different caliber altogether to be growing up in filthy whorehouse and then live in the streets and grow up to become a legend of a singer.
When Martion Cotillard had got Oscar in 2008 for this performance of hers I used to wonder but at the same time was sure she must have done a great job and boy was I right, she deserved every bit of the Oscar she had got for this one.
The story keeps shuttling between her youth, her adulthood and her last days and each stage is equally painful but yet beautiful.
Really nothing can be more painful than success with self destruction.
Watch it if you appreciate good cinema apart from the run of the mill stuff as well

Saat Khoon Maaf - Dark Comedy At Its Best ...Path Breaking Stuff for Hindi Movies For Sure..Priyanka Chopra Rocks

Firstly the whole team of Saat Khoon Maaf be it the production house, direction, music and each and every performer deserves a standing ovation for venturing into this path breaking cinema for Hindi movie surely this is path breaking .

It takes a lot of courage and conviction to come up with a subject and characters whom you know people won't accept easily as people only want to see good things and stark reality kind of scares of them away but thats what differentiators in this world are all about and that is not to be ashamed or scared about the change that you would like to bring upon.

Dark comedies are supposed to be bring a smile in your face while depicting the darker side of life and this one did every time one of the miserable husbands died/got killed :) It was actually amusing to see them die :)

Susanna's character may seem strange and sensual but then quietly she does enter a woman's heart and soul.

I don't think anyone among the so called money minting top actresses could have portrayed the role of Susana - a wretchedly unfulfilled genetically incomplete woman, a living throbbing warning against the institution of marriage as Priyanka Chopra she completely sweeps you away into the world of Susanna.

And now coming to the miserable husbands each one has come up with brilliant performance be it Neil Nitin Mukesh as her first legless army-man husband whose display of clenched menace jolts you real scary such is the power of his performance,be it John Abraham as a stereotypical rock musician taken to drugs and women is pitch perfect,be it the poet husband Irrfan Khan as a wolf in poet's clothing(this portrayal kind of scared me the most yuck men can be so sick),be it horny police officer Anu Kapoor the way he uses Viagra its really funny ,the Russian Spy who talks about eternal love only to be found already a married man,be it Naseeruddin Shah as the lovable old Bengali dietitian and the only reason he married her was for her money so obviously he had no chance of survival and Vivan Shah son of Naseeruddin Shah is an actor to watch out and he is a real cute guy at that:)

Loved Usha Uthup and Konkona in their respective roles and loved the glimpse of my favorite author Ruskin Bond on whose story this based on.

BTW full marks to Vishal Bharadwaj for giving the authors their due credit when it comes sharing credit unlike many successful directors of the Hindi Film Industry.

This is a beautiful tale of a dissatisfied life.

A must watch..come on gather some courage to see path breaking stuff apart from the regular masala, mushy over sentimental stuff..

How Do You Know - It has its fun moments but not worth a theater watch, wait for the DVD,at times its boring and irritating

Can't believe he is the same director who gave us the real cute romantic movie 'Spanglish' and even his 'Broadcast News' is supposed to be quite good as well and he gave us the fantastic 'As Good As It Gets' as well but sorry guys this movie is a complete dud everything seems to be in disorder right from the characterization and the story and the actor except for Paul Rudd he was the best part of this otherwise dull movie the screen kind of lightens up every time he pops up and he is the sole entertaining factor of this movie loved him in this one.

Reese Witherspoon had this constant irritated confused look in her face right from scene one till the end minus the scenes she had with Paul Rudd and those were few.

God I hated Jack Nicholson in this one and Owen Wilson irritated to the core.

Why would you move in with a guy who irritates you ? You are bound to be unhappy so what if he give you designer diamond studded watches the heroine comes across this real stupid girl and God Owen Wilson was way too irritating as this show off baseball player hated him as well.

Disappointing movie ...not worth it for sure even if you are a Paul Rudd fan catch it in the DVD ..

Gnomeo & Juliet - Loved it...A Must Watch For All Ages...Wish the actual Romeo and Juliet was like this as well :)

The subject of Romeo & Juliet always creates some sort of curiosity even if its done to death for the umpteenth time.

And the title of this movie as well as the subject of this movie had me waiting for this movie to release here and animated and 3D also of course gives it that extra edge.

So here are these feudal Garden Gnomes the Red and the Blues and both equally adorable and clanky yes they are made up of clay and clank when they come alive :) And as fate have had it Gnomeo from Blue and Juliet from Red fall for each other and the rest as they is history but this Gnomeo and Juliet comes with a happy ending and thats the biggest twist and real fun thing to watch and certainly this version of Romeo and Juliet is really different and positive for sure.

Loved every bit of the movie like 'Tangled' and would recommend everyone to watch this movie I can assure you will love this one :)

The 3D animation effect is fantastic of course.

All in all a complete fun movie for all ages.Recommended.

Dinner for Schmucks - Must say Bheja Fry was brilliant...yes this has its share of chuckles...but does not rock like Bheja Fry

The original french movie "Le diner de con" from which this one and Bheja Fry is inspired I am sure was hilarious as I am yet to see that one but from the adapted versions I have seen this far Bheja Fry takes the cake and Dinner for Schmucks is nowhere close to Bheja Fry in terms of humor and characterization and acting.

Yes this movie has its share of chuckles but thats about it I remember watching Bheja Fry in April 2007 and just could not control my non stop laughter so in terms of that kind of humor this one definitely falls short big time and in terms of performance Steve Carell and Paul Rudd were good for sure but in no length can match up to the caliber of Rajat Kapoor and Vinay Pathak. And yes Zach Galifianakis was no way even closer to what Ranveer Sheorey did.

For once I can say the desi version was million times better this Hollywood version ;)

I would say 'The Hangover' or 'Due Date' was more hilarious for sure.

I won't say its bad but not great for sure...

Mary and Max - Unique animation and wonderful story..Thank God unlike relatives God gave us the right to chose friends...

A beautiful story does not need any gloss and this unique animated movie is a sheer proof of that.

This is a beautiful tale of friendship across two continents there is really nothing really common between yet so many things are common the sadness that they had but yet found cheer in the smallest of things like chocolates and sweet condensed milk.

There's no fairytale here but a story which is so real that somewhere you are bound to relate to it.

Loved the concept of pen pals I had one and she is now in FB of course ,its just wonderful when some stranger out of nowhere becomes the someone closest to your heart and things probably you wouldn't think of sharing you would share with them and thats where the beauty of friendship lies..

Loved this unique animated movie..the animation here is hand made so its an unique experience all together.

Recommended for a beautiful experience.

True Grit - Good Story And A Beautifully Shot Movie...Worth A Watch

When I heard this was a Coen Brothers movie I wasn't really sure what to expect from this as a subject being western you cannot really digest a dark comedy like atmosphere going with it and whatever movies I have watched of these two brilliant directors are dark comedies and fantastic ones at that like 'Burn After Reading' and rom-com 'Intolerable Cruelty' but yes didn't like their 'No Country For Old Men' one bit.

This is a remake but I have not seen the original so my opinion is completely non biased and without any scope of comparison with the original.

Must say they have a come up with a great western film reminds you of the good old western movies and the movies is beautifully shot and brilliant dialogues and fantastic performances.

Jeff Bridges as Rooster Cogburn is just awesome he deserve every inch of the Oscar Nomination he is nominated. The surprise element was the fourteen year old actress Hailee Steinfeld she was amazing and stood up to the performances of the able actors like Jeff Bridges,Matt Damon and Josh Brolin.

The movie really takes you back to those time so full marks to the art direction here I sincerely feel when a movie can take you back to that era the whole credit should go to the art directors for giving you that kind of feel and experience.

Truly a movie with loads of grit and worth a watch for sure.

The Illusionist/L'illusionniste - Unique Animation Movie And A Real Charming One

This is one of the most unique animated movies I have seen where the story is flowing with the actions some movements and background music and very few in fact just handful words uttered yet the story is heartwarming and beautiful and yes lots can be said without mere words and this movie is a proof.

Loved the way Edinburgh and Paris is shot in this animated feature its quite a visual treat.

Its story about change and how it revamps your life and how far would you go to in terms adapting the change.

A real different kind of experience all together.

Volver - Beautiful tale of compassion...Superb... A Must See

Wow what a beautiful tale of compassion and the journey called life and its ups and downs.

I am not letting the story out here at any cost...its brilliant and must be watched by every cinema lover remember like art good cinema is beyond the limitation of language that you understand so if you have to go all out searching for this Spanish movie with English subtitles so be it and trust me you will not have any regrets and maybe you will look at your life in a different light a positive one at that :)

The whole thing here about women sticking for each other is endearing to watch.

Great acting by Penelope Cruz and I remember she was nominated at Oscars 2007 for this one and great acting by every actress here.

Men has taken a seat back its completely women power here.

A must see.

The Rite - Scary..Anthony Hopkins is superb so is the dude Colin O'Donoghue ..Thrilling

Though I tend to get scared when I watch supernatural movies but the desire to watch them is always there and so I did see the movie and yes I did scared but it was thrilling at the same time enjoyable too.

So if paranormal movies are your forte then you can surely watch this one.

Must say the cinematography of this movie is awesome and Rome with its rains though dull has this enigmatic effect and goes with the story very well.

The subject of paranormal life is always enigmatic, debatable and will always remain so...there would be always questions which would remain unanswered and I guess thats the way it is supposed to be.

Anthony Hopkins proves yet again legends are just not made in a day.I really liked the actor Colin O'Donoghue he has what it takes apart from his good looks.

So if you are horror/paranormal movie fan go for this one and you will enjoy it for sure...

No Strings Attached - Fun Sex Comedy which turns all romantic and mushy...Nice One

Though this movie has similarities to the quite recent romantic movie 'Love & Other Drugs' but that only stops to the girl meet boy for casual sex bit after that this movie has a script of its own and a quite fun & sweet one at that, must say this one is a real nice chick flick.

While they become great sex/fuck buddies things were just working fine for both of them till something called feeling or should I say the magical thing called love got in between and then a bit of melodrama and of course like all good romantic comedies this one too has a happy ending of course :)

The first time combination of Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher works really well and for a romantic comedy if the couple does not work then I guess the movie does not but in this one the chemistry between the couple works and so does the movie.

Overall this one is a likable sweet romantic comedy.Recommended

Management - Sweet Little Movie

I actually started watching this movie yesterday as it was in my collection for a long time now and yesterday was also Jennifer Anniston's birthday so what better way to celebrate that and let me tell you I was pleasantly surprised from this sweet little movie.

The combination of Jennifer Anniston and Steve Zahn though odd but definitely works and the story is sweet, simple and quite hopeful and optimistic in nature...

A real nice DVD watch you won't regret..

Patiala House - Yes Akshay Kumar is back in form but the first half sucks and the subject is kind of outdated...

In today's age and time when the world is a global village the subject of this movie is way too outdated maybe 30 years back this same subject would have been revolutionizing but not now for sure.

So here's an outdated story where the dad(rishi kapoor) does not allow his son(akshay kumar) to pursue his career in cricket due to his whimsical fancies and the son succumbs and becomes a silent sufferer till some talkative attractive babe(anushka sharma) shakes him up after 17 years again to pursue his dream and do what he is born for and after some family drama and hide n seek stupid game he does achieve and there is peace of course with everyone trying to ride over that one person's dare and achieving there goals as well.

Yes its better late than never but come on you don't sit in a supermarket store for 17 years when your dreams are damn clear you fight for it and chase it and show the world which includes your parents what you are capable of or forget the world just show it to yourself your best abilities and when you are truly happy the people around you are happy too and that is the universal truth.

The first half of the movie is really boring with the proceedings of the movie going really nowhere except for the spunk of anushka sharma's character like the way she pushes akshay kumars timid character ,the second half of the movie is definitely better and the proceedings kind of hold your interest yes there is emotional drama and there are heartwarming scenes as well but I sincerely doubt if this movie will do well though for Akshay's sake i hope it does.

Performance wise I loved Rishi Kapoor and Akshay Kumar - he should do acting of these sorts more...Anushka Sharma was of course was a pleasure to watch,Dimple did not have much to do,like Tinu Anand in his brief role.

Honestly i would say you can wait for this one in the TV/DVD to come out....

Still Walking - Beautiful as close to life...if you ever get this japanese movie don't miss the opportunity to watch it

Life is as simple and beautiful as you see it and perceive and this poem like movie conveys it extremely simply yet beautifully.

Each sequence in the movie is so beautifully shot and extremely real that it sets you thinking what would we do when such situations arise in our lives and they do.

This is a family drama yes but the emotions are so beautifully displayed that you can actually relate to them in some way or the other for sure.

People at every age have their nuances and they should be accepted as they are.

Central do Brasil or Central Station - Amazing,Brilliant....This is really world class cinema...

Movies like this are enlightening makes you ponder about yourself and your life altogether thats the kind of impact this movie has but at the same time its not shown in a harsh manner so as to leave you disturbing but with beautiful memories that will remain etched in your mind for the time to come.Yes reality can be shown beautifully as well with the right mix of pleasure and pain .

How many times in our lives have we encountered people who seem totally against you but these are the same people who stand by you when you are in your worst times and there are these sweet saccharine kinds who just loves to give you free advice but when it actually comes to helping you out in your time of crisis these are the same people who are the busiest that time so coming back to the story the same woman who seemed like an opportunist in the beginning simply goes out of her way to help a child reunite with his father who is a complete stranger and whom she happens to meet due to unavoidable circumstances.

The journey they take to find out the the child's father is full of obstacles but they face it and make life out of it is simply endearing and the strings of your heart will definitely be touched I can assure you on that...

It is one of most extraordinary movies I have watched and will always remain close to my heart as I have come to a stage in life where meaningless acquaintances do not take the pretense of friendship anymore and where sometimes strangers seem like long lost friends but the so called relatives and friends relationship seem to be dying its natural death and peacefully without any negative feeling but a feeling where I feel liberated and happy...

Performance by Fernanda Montenegro is simply outstanding she makes you cry, she make you laugh and makes you angry too..

I would say you will really never know what world class cinema is all about if you miss this one...

Rabbit Hole - Simple and touching story with brilliant performances

Based on a play by David Lindsay-Abaire this movie is an emotional journey of a happy couple (Nicole Kidman & Aaron Eckhart) whose life comes upside down when they lose their four year son in a freak helpless accident yes sad as it sounds so are the circumstances and situations tackled by this couple..the ups and down and it is downs most of downs when people get this feeling everyone is having a great life except for them and their insecurities come up in various different ways which are negative of course.

The couple trying cope up the tragedy by attending dinners, bereavement groups and none seem to be helping them and the wife trying to give away the clothes of her son, deleting the video from her husband's mobile are truly emotional and realistic scenes ...don't we all try to forget our deep hidden pains in various and the more we try to hide them the more it seems to surface up ultimately one has to face it up and deal with it upfront to get through with it for once and for all and this has been portrayed most simply yet beautifully in this movie.

I would say everyone's performance is great but Nicole Kidman and Aaron Eckhart are outstanding.

So if you are looking for a good story with great performances go for this one you won't regret..I loved it.

Now and Then - Girlies you will love this one :)

'Now and Then' is the kind of movie which a gang of girls would just love to watch..well remember there is always a girl left in every woman :)

So this is a girls movie and a complete fun one at that but guys too can watch this one as this is a fun film for sure.

The story is about a group of 4 friends who are women and who return to their old tree house and reminisce about the one summer that truly changed their lives...it is hilarious and touching at the same time and also emphasizes about the power of friendship and about growing up with friends.

Performance wise I thought every one was good and played their characters very well.

A real good DVD watch when you plan your next pajama party with your gal pals.

Wuthering Heights(1992) - Beautiful Adaptation Of The Much Loved Book....

Having read the book when I was in 4th Grade I had to really wait a long time to watch the movie adaption of this much loved book across the globe and what I have gathered is that this one is by far the best adaptation.

The movie is as fascinating as the book portraying the love beyond pain, beyond place, beyond reason something which is really difficult to fathom. This is a very unlikely story about a union of two souls separated by society and circumstance, yet bonded so completely that even death could not stop them from uniting something which is definitely not even remotely heard about these days.

The lines 'I cannot live without my life. I cannot live without my soul' kept ringing in my mind such was love those times not a matter of convenience and comfort like the times of today...

Both Juliette Binoche as Cathy and Ralph Fiennes as Heathcliff are completely outstanding and give these characters that extra edge they leave you spellbound with their performances.

Apart from the performances what stands out is the cinematography of this movie as well as the music and the locations are absolutely gorgeous.

Grab the DVD of this at the earliest...don't miss this one please.

Biutiful - Truly beautiful...a slice of life which has both pain ,despair and hope and little joys in sheer abundance..

Biutiful coming from an ace director Alejandro González Iñárritu who has given us the mind blowing 'Babel' is complex, interesting, very very disturbing in few sequences but overall a slice of life which is quite realistic without any sugar coating ,this is about a margin of the society which exists very much be it any part of the globe ,it's about everywhere we don't want to live, it's about everyone we don't want to meet; it's about all the struggles we'd rather not face.

So when all the above mentioned factors mentioned are depicted the movie ought to be loud, violent, crazy, shameful, desperate, dirty and quite touching as well.

The story revolves around the character called Uxbal (Javier Bardem) he has a shady life with shady dealings but at the same time has his heart in the right place, though he pimps out underpaid migrant workers to whoever will employ them but somewhere deep inside him he is concerned about their welfare as well and that bit was quite touching.

Here's a man who is dying but does not give up any opportunity to secure financial safety for his two kids and somewhere he also gets entangled with the migrant's lives as well and treats their problems as his own.

To be honest the movie has its share of scary and creepy moments as well and some moments are way to disturbing I am still trying to get over them.

Javier Bardem is brilliant and his eyes speak I think if an actor is gifted then his/her eyes always speak and conveys much more than words/dialogues.

This movie like Bable will surely gain the cult classic status which breaks all conventions.Recommended.

Sanctum - Mindboggling 3D effects ...this one is for 3D fans and the locales of Australia completely rocks :)

This is not a masterpiece for sure in terms of content of the story actually the story has nothing great to offer at all but its not bad too...but if you are a 3D fan you will surely enjoy this one wow what mind boggling effects.

The story about cave diving is kind of predictable I mean you know by the end of it there's going to be one survivor only but for its 3D effects and some good emotional moments this one is surely worth a watch and yes the beautiful gorgeous Australia looks breathtaking for sure.

The underwater scenes are fantastic so are the cave sequences.

This is a visual treat so I would only recommend if you want to enjoy some great 3D but do not sky rocketing expectations where story is concerned :)

The Romantics - Sweet Little Charming Movie :)

Based on a novel of the same name this movie is short and sweet and is quite charming one at at that.

Its a story focused on relationships which finds finds old lovers reuniting and old friends rediscovering themselves of course not quite pleasing to everyone as there always is a chance one heart might get broken when two hearts reunite.

As practical as it could be the fact is there is no clear answer or a process of trying to understand ones true feelings.Like life unfolds surprises this movie too has a certain flow of its own and has twists and turns when you are least expecting but in a very honest and rewarding manner.

This movie does not have too many jokes but moments which are kind of funny and which is focused on people's raw emotion which is quite close to life.

Everyone gives good performances and Josh Duhamel is getting hotter by the day for sure :)

A good DVD watch for sure

Ye Saali Zindagi - Full time entertainment and no moment of boredom and for adults of course ;)Good Start to Feb'11

February too has started on a real good not as far as the content of the Hindi movies are concerned and spreading the good word about these movies might surely add up to the commercial success and in case these are low budget movies but the content I can assure you can put shame to many of the high budgeted hyped movies with so called stars bar actors in it.

Now here comes a real entertaining movie right from the word go with gifted actors and the kind of movie where you will have something to recall aah the witty one liners are still running in my mind and I can't seem to be stop smiling every time they run on my mind.

One line which sounds sick and funny at the same time and I will have to type the way it sounds in hindi ' Aurat agar chudail ban jaye aadmi ko gobar bana de ' :) and many such witty line kept me and my friend in splits and also rest of the audience in the theater.

Sudhir Mishra the director of this movie is known for his non formula movies and most of them turn out quite likable and leaves a stamp in your mind and so does this one for sure.

Our censor board needs to grow up and its high time they stop pretending to project the goody goody image always thank God they have stopped putting a beep when people utter words like condom etc...and why have a beep altogether for a movie which is certified adult.

Both the producer - Prakash Jha and director- Sudhir Mishra are know for their courageous and fearless nature and only they can come up movies of this genre which is truly entertaining and different.

This movie is surely about love and bullets as the promos said and in short I would say love and its repercussions when things go haywire and life in between.

Though this is a love story but not all mush and roses for sure this one is quirky, complex and twisted one at that and the dialogues are harsh, crude, with lots of expletives and swear words thrown in but that's where the beauty of this film lies and that is how it walks a different path a path which normally the formula hindi movie makers won't tread.

All the actors of this movie have done a wonderful job be it the brilliant Irrfan Khan,Saurabh Shukla,Arunoday Singh - he can definitely give Imran Khan/Ranbir Kappor etc. a run for their money in every aspect be it looks or acting,Aditi Rao Hydari is too good and very pretty I actually she was the best part about Delhi 6 and million times better than Sonam Kapoor and natural, Chitrangada Singh is stunning in every way,Sushant Singh is fantastic so is Yashpal Sharma,Vipul Gupta,Vipin Sharma,Prashant Narayan and every other actor present in this movie whatever the length of the role was they definitely outshone .

This is the new age cinema which is daring, interesting, entertaining and these are the kind of movies which is taking Hindi movies to higher and different level altogether.

The whole team of Ye Saali Zindagi deserves a standing ovation for the brilliant outcome.Recommended for sure.

Utt Patang - An Out of the box, real smart and intelligent movie which keeps you glued to the story

The title in literal terms means something which is not straight and where there are too many loopholes and the movie sure does live up to the true meaning but in a very smart and intelligent which makes you think and ponder and feel good.

I have seen many out of the box/art house movies revolving around incidents happening in one night but not even one is closer to this movie compared to the smartness and intelligence of this movie.Every scene right from the beginning till the end is completely connected to each other and sync in with each other.

I am glad the Hindi filmmakers are making this kind of different kind of movies which are intelligent and fantastic and has and extremely interesting storyline and just not always sticking to the run of the mill dancing around the trees formula and sparing us from the dozes of overtly emotional stories as well..way to go guys.

I am not leaking the story for one simple reason a good film maker's great creation must be watched and encouraged I salute these guys ...really it takes a lot of courage to make something different and to tread a different path which is truly meaningful as well and sure this is worth the ticket money.

Performance wise all of them were superb be it

Vinay Pathak,Mahi Gill,Mona Singh,Saurabh Shukla,Delnaz Paul,Sanjay Mishra

Recommended for sure not everyday these kind of movies are made.

Send Me No Flowers - Classic Romantic comedy

Three is definitely company and the lovely combination of Doris Day,Rock Hudson and Tony Randall just proves the same in this movie.

I remember a colleague of mine suggesting this movie to watch sometime back and I have been searching the same and by stroke of luck managed to get this one and I am very thankful to her for the suggestion it definitely made my evening, romantic comedies should put a smile in your by the end of it and have much more than one reason to have a good laugh during the movie and this movie completely lived up to that expectation.

Doris Day was in her early forties and she was still the main heroine and had an author backed role and this movie belongs to the generation of 1960s and here(India/Bollywood) we try to retire the heroines once they are in their 30s and that is such a shame...

Coming back to the story as much as the trio of Doris,Rock and Tony works this is not a love triangle for sure but this is about a person who is a hypochondriac and thinks he's about to die of course that was a far stretched imagination of his mind and makes those last minute plans for his wife which when she discovers she misunderstands and yes finally of course the truth comes out and all is well when it ends well.

This is a fabulous romantic comedy I completely loved it .They don't make these kinds anymore...sheer magic.

Alpha and Omega - A cute animated movie about wolves

So deals does happen between animals too and then true love wins of course thats what this short cute animated movie is all about no rocket science here but some good animation and some good funny moments to go with it which makes it a nice watch.

The story revolves around two wolves Kate(voice over by Hayden Panittiere) and Humphrey (voice over by Justin Long) who are kind of opponents among their respective pack of wolves somehow due to unavoidable circumstances or destiny as they say get separated and voila they discover true love for each other ....need I say more :)

Of course they sort out their rivalry among their respective packs and live ever after :) And after making too many reports in excel today I completely enjoyed watching this one :) Kids will like it for sure

Three Colors:Red- Confusing or may be I need to watch the complete triology

Wondering now why I started to watch this movie but I think I would have understood this better had I seen the other two movies which is part of the trilogy.

Apparently the parts of this trilogy was Blue and White. In BLUE, Juliette Binoche played a grieving widow whose plan to live her life without connections to the past had her meet someone unexpected. In WHITE, an act of cruelty spawns an unlikely friendship between two men who will, against the odds, conspire to bring the perpetrator to justice and full circle.

This movie is about weird people and weird situations in life the best part of this movie is the actress Irene Jacob extremely pretty and extremely expressive, emoting so well from her eyes alone.

Sorry for once I kind of failed of failed to understand a movie and no surely will not recommend it :)
