Saat Khoon Maaf - Dark Comedy At Its Best ...Path Breaking Stuff for Hindi Movies For Sure..Priyanka Chopra Rocks

Firstly the whole team of Saat Khoon Maaf be it the production house, direction, music and each and every performer deserves a standing ovation for venturing into this path breaking cinema for Hindi movie surely this is path breaking .

It takes a lot of courage and conviction to come up with a subject and characters whom you know people won't accept easily as people only want to see good things and stark reality kind of scares of them away but thats what differentiators in this world are all about and that is not to be ashamed or scared about the change that you would like to bring upon.

Dark comedies are supposed to be bring a smile in your face while depicting the darker side of life and this one did every time one of the miserable husbands died/got killed :) It was actually amusing to see them die :)

Susanna's character may seem strange and sensual but then quietly she does enter a woman's heart and soul.

I don't think anyone among the so called money minting top actresses could have portrayed the role of Susana - a wretchedly unfulfilled genetically incomplete woman, a living throbbing warning against the institution of marriage as Priyanka Chopra she completely sweeps you away into the world of Susanna.

And now coming to the miserable husbands each one has come up with brilliant performance be it Neil Nitin Mukesh as her first legless army-man husband whose display of clenched menace jolts you real scary such is the power of his performance,be it John Abraham as a stereotypical rock musician taken to drugs and women is pitch perfect,be it the poet husband Irrfan Khan as a wolf in poet's clothing(this portrayal kind of scared me the most yuck men can be so sick),be it horny police officer Anu Kapoor the way he uses Viagra its really funny ,the Russian Spy who talks about eternal love only to be found already a married man,be it Naseeruddin Shah as the lovable old Bengali dietitian and the only reason he married her was for her money so obviously he had no chance of survival and Vivan Shah son of Naseeruddin Shah is an actor to watch out and he is a real cute guy at that:)

Loved Usha Uthup and Konkona in their respective roles and loved the glimpse of my favorite author Ruskin Bond on whose story this based on.

BTW full marks to Vishal Bharadwaj for giving the authors their due credit when it comes sharing credit unlike many successful directors of the Hindi Film Industry.

This is a beautiful tale of a dissatisfied life.

A must watch..come on gather some courage to see path breaking stuff apart from the regular masala, mushy over sentimental stuff..
