Yently - Great story and a great movie indeed

Yentl is one of those movies that has a great story a story which has revolutionized the society ,a story that moves you inspires you and tells you again and not to give up on your dreams come what may yes there may be many many hurdles to cross but not ever giving up is the key to success for sure.
I always thought Barbara Streisand was a great singer and she was a good actress too but directing this gem of a movie she has proved her mettle and is surely an all rounder someone to look upto for sure.
Apparently Barbara Streisand worked for more than 15 years on bringing this film to the big screen, and it was well worth the effort.
Broadway tenor Mandy Patinkin is terrific as the object of Yentl's affections.
YENTL is also showcase for the wonderful music of Michael Legrand (with outstanding lyrics by Marilyn and Alan Bergman), and the film uses these songs to brilliant effect no extra drama but really well placed.
Great movie worth every watch for sure...
