Highway - Superb one not to be missed ..
Highway - What a relief to see a non crappy Bollywood masala movie but of course when one is used to garbage the good stuff will take time to have the right effect.
The movie dealt with a subject which most of the Indian families have the habit of hiding it under the carpet and that is of child abuse.
I have heard of many such experiences where families have hidden such reprimanded the girl/boy and have supported that awful uncle/aunty/nephew/niece.
I know of a friend who had to face the wrath of her relatives when she protested her younger cousin brother's advances and her whole set of family started only picking on her and finding her faults.
In life it takes a lot of time to forgive and heal oneself but surely its difficult to forget..well life can be brutal at times.
Both Alia Bhatt and Ranndeep Hooda have done a brilliant job, heartwarming performances, very very touching.
The cinematography is just breathtaking..felt like packing my bags and setting for that trip to Leh again :)
Rest of the cast have done a great job too.
The few scenes that are going to stay with me are :
-The scene where Alia Bhatt's character breaks into a real cute jig with Ranndeep Hooda's friend
- The way Alia Bhatt expresses her feelings to Ranndeep Hooda with earnest honesty, the way she says it is totally adorable
- The scene where Alia Bhatt shouts at the wretched Uncle If I was in her place I would have have slapped him real tight across his face..
Imtiaz Ali - brilliant job.
A R Rahman's music grows into you.
I loved the movie and if you want to experience a good cinema off the usual path go for it..
