Azhar - Good Watch

Based on the life of the former Indian international cricketer, Mohammad Azharuddin, this one is quite a well made biographical sports film. Everyone deserves a second chance in life so does Mohammed Azharuddin,so I am not going to judge him but surely the movie did hit the right chords. Emran Hashmi may not look like Azharuddin but he surely portrays the the spirit and pain that the beleaguered former Indian captain must have gone through in an excellent way, great acting by him indeed. Prachi Desai is quite a delight as the simple Naureen, I have loads of respect for Naureen the way she stood by Azhar in his most trying times of his life. Sangeeta Bijlani was never a good actress but was all about glamour so is Nargis Fakhri so apt choice here but Sangeeta Bijlani is far more prettier than Ms.Fakhri Lara Dutta as the lawyer is sleek and smart. Kunal Roy Kapoor as the Azhar's lawyer is quite good and adds to fun factor in the movie. This is Tony D'Souza's first directorial venture and he brilliantly captures the angst, the simplicity, the colossal success, the dual romance, and never ending struggle-to-clear-the-name of Indian cricket's heroic, yet arguably the most controversial captain Mohammad Azharuddin, full marks to him for that. Fact of life its always in the difficult times of our lives we get to see who our real friends and for every ten friends that betray us there is always one or two genuine friends who will stand by your side as well. And yes there always will be people feeling happy at your downfall specially when you have achieved success in life and suddenly there is a spate of bad time which has struck, their happiness knows no bounds to see you down and then there is something called Karma. A good movie by all means, a movie not to be missed :) Recommended :)
