Apur Panchali - Poignant..loved it

This poignant movie is a real life story inspired by Subir Banerjee, the little child actor who played the iconic role of Apu in Satyajit ray's unforgettable Pather Panchali. I am a huge fan of Satyajit Ray's work and the subject being focused on the iconic child star only made it more interesting. This is pure cinematic brilliance directed by Kaushik Ganguly...I was totally mesmerized not a moment of distraction the story has what is called depth which is rare element to find in cinemas these days. An awesome movie devoid of violence, unnecessary songs, unnecessary titillation, a pure gem which stands out in the trashy movies we get these days. Loved the way the parallel created between the real life of a man and the resemblance with the trilogy scene by scene is commendable Parambrata Chatterjee is simply superb the pain the anger the dilemma the happiness so so well expressed. Ardhendu Banerjee .. I was watching his movie for the first time and i am mighty impressed, he is fantastic. Parno Mitra is like a fresh whiff of air very innocent and sweet ..loved the scenes between her and Parambrata. Another actor to watch out for is Gaurav Chakrabarty. A gem of a movie not to be missed..recommended BTW the movie should definitely not be viewed by people falling under following category: People who go to movies just for sheer entertainment, or are not emotional and do not like the pace of the movie to be slowed down, prefer receiving calls in the hall please avoid and spare the others who want to enjoy the depth of this beautiful poignant movie ...
