I remember having a good laugh when I had watched 'East is East' in 2000 and after a decade the sequel comes with loads of fun yes and equal amount of emotions too.
Somewhere the message of 'Make peace with your past so it won't destroy your present' comes out very well in this movie with Om Puri's character visiting Pakistan and facing the demons of his past i.e. his wife and three daughters whom he had left 30 years ago to make a life in England and married an English woman there and set up another family there but somewhere guilt killed him so in the purview of getting his youngest son back in track he sets to Pakistan only to amend all the wrong doings and lessen the pain he had caused many years back.
And finally after a humorous incident and emotional turmoil alls well that ends well.
Be it Om Puri or Ila Arun or Lind Bassett or Vijay Raaz or any other actor in this movie everyone has excelled in this movie in terms of performances and the rustic country side of Pakistan shot in Punjab is beautifully portrayed.
Worth a watch for sure...if not in the big screen you can get the DVD
