Mary Kom - A Must Watch

After weeks and weeks of pathetic Hindi movies here comes a Hindi movie which reaffirms one's faith in the few good filmmakers left in Bollywood and if it comes from a first time director all the more good. The movie is based on life of Mangte Chungneijang Mary Kom also known as MC Mary Kom, Magnificent Mary or simply Mary Kom and someone I am sure will get the Gold medal in next Olympics. Films on sports personalities in Bollywood are between far and few with CHAK DE INDIA and more recently BHAAG MILKHA BHAAG winning the audience's heart and now Mary Kom. Chak De India will remain my favorite and the next would be Mary Kom for sure. The story of Mary Kom is bound to inspire you and suddenly you will have a very different perspective of the shortcomings of life. Despite of all the hardships present in her life nothing could stop Mary Kom in putting our country on the international map with her achievements. A fighter never gives up and thats the spirit of Mary Kom which is portrayed close to perfection by Priyanka Chopra. and we cannot see her in Zanjeer remake kind of movies anymore Priyanka Chopra steals the show. She does total justice to this author backed role full marks to her for that Every Girl should get a husband like K Onler Kom , the husband's role played by Darshan Kumar is simply superb,he holds his ground firm, despite Priyanka's towering performance..sad Bollywood does not give such good actors enough opportunities, sincerely hope to see more of him. Sunil Thapa as the coach is outstanding, loved the way he portrays his emotional, professional and rational sides with equal ease, this is what the best coaches are made of I guess The rest of the cast is excellent and really hope to seem them more. Between Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Mary Kom I would most definitely give Mary Kom more marks for sticking to the original incidents as much as possible. And the beautiful Manipur is very much part of our country and we should remain proud of it always I have met some of the nicest and most hardworking people specially women in my life from here Dinah Aliishi Ngade Achui Muivah Mia Awungshi Biak Lun love you all Standing up for our National Anthem did give the goosebumps Liked the background score very much composed by Rohit Kulkarni Of course recommended ..not to be missed ..go for it The best release this weekend for sure :)
