Meri Pyaari Bindu - Not worth it therefore not recommended

An interesting script gone wrong and quite wrong. Light heart story does not mean that there should be just light moments in the name of the story. Ayushmann Khurrana is a good actor but when he speaks Bengali as he is supposed to be the Bengali boy from Kolkata, he sounds like a typical North Indian fellow forced to speak Bengali, quite irritating really. Parineeti Chopra's character is bubbly with no depth at all. The actors who actually put some life into this boring movie are Aparajita Adhya(Ayushman's Mother),Rajatava Dutta(Ayushman's Dad),Prakash Belawadi. I really thought the movie was insipid and boring, yes there are moments nice ones here and there , so wait for it when it comes in the satellite channels for free. Not worth it,hence not recommended. The only good thing that happened is post watching the movie,as I got a very close glimpse of Rana Dagubatti,he was entering the Garuda Mall and boy does he look good or what ,super duper good and then the boring movie didn't matter anymore as I got a dashing return gift :)

King Arthur: Legend of the Sword - Excellent Watch

Guy Ritchie's version of King Arthur is really cool while maintaining the essence of the era. In this cruel world filled of treacherous humans from time immemorial, the good winning over the evil has always been a daunting task and be it King Arthur or Baahubali everyone had their share of struggle to win against the bad. The cinematography is brilliant and so are the action scenes and so are the FX they are just incredible Charlie Hunnam as King Arthur is superb. Rest of the cast comprising of Eric Bana,Jude Law,Djimon Hounsou,Aidan Gillen,Astrid Bergès-Frisbey are excellent as well. Though there are plenty of characters but each one's character is etched very well. The structure of storytelling is really good, not a single dull moment. Definitely recommended for a great fun watch this weekend :)

Piku - Eat Well ,Read Well ,Watch Good Movies and Die Peacefully :)

The movie brought back memories of my late grandmother whose major conversation revolved around endless health issues and of course motion did play a very important role :) Loved the simple, sweet, heartwarming story adorned with the most natural performances from some of the best actors the Hindi film industry has. Its an author backed role and Deepika Padukone delivers her best performance till date, she leads the show from all the fronts. One has to applaud this girl for making all the right choices in her career as far as her film selections are concerned. To stand up to the stalwarts like Amitabh Bachchan and Irrfan Khan is no mean achievement and Deepika successfully does that and how! All in all, she is excellent, sincere and shows immense growth as an actor and love this Bengaluru Girl all the more :) Loved the character of Bhaskor aka Amitabh Bachchan there never ever will be another Amitabh Bacchan , down to earth as down to earth as it could get ..brilliance too is an understatement..outstanding. All fathers should have his character kinda thoughts about their daughter's marriage ..really thought it was so cool :) Irfan Khan is one of the best actor we have but of course for commercial reasons underutilized most of the times...loved him in this character. Moushumi Chatterjee is ever charming and is a complete delight to watch ,loved her endearing character..Bollywood lacks sense in all angles for not to have cast her in more movies. Jishu Sengupta and Raghuveer Yadav are quite good in their respective roles. The pairing of Deepika and Irfan despite being odd does have an awesome chemistry. The road trip from Delhi to Kolkata was so much fun. The dialogues were simple and yet so meaningful, something for us to ponder always. After Yahaan, VICKY DONOR, MADRAS CAFE and now with PIKU, Shoojit proves his supremacy as a storyteller, can't wait to watch his next movie 'Shoebite' Good work by writer by writer Juhi Chaturvedi as well. Loved the cinematography Its a must must watch movie :) All I can say is life is short so don't miss this gem of a movie :) Eat well, live well and die peacefully :)

Nil Battey Sannata - An Awesome Movie

Beautiful mother - daughter relationship movie , wonderful ,uplifting and full of hope, and whatever may our social status be all of us have the right to dream and fulfil the same despite of all the obstacles that life throws in :) Swara Bhaskar is simply brilliant, such a shame that Bollywood does not realise the value of these precious actors. Loved the acting by new child actor Riya Shukla. Ratna Pathak is superb so is actor Pankaj Tripathi who plays the role of the school principal. Simple yet brilliant movie not to be missed at all. Outstanding job by director Ashwini Iyer Tiwari , this is her first movie and hope there's more such gems coming from her in the near future. Loved every bit of it, its so heartening to see such awesome movies as Bollywood delivers trash most of the time, but it is because we give business to trash,so be the change and watch these kind of superb movies :) A must watch , recommended for sure :)

Bahubali 2: The Conclusion - Two years is a long wait but completely worth it :)

Indians across the world was waiting for the part 2 and I am no different. Of course the nation and beyond wanted to know why Katappa killed Baahubali(remember part 1). The quest is quenched with a powerful story, awesome performances and one of the most visually appealing piece of cinema the Indian Film Industry has ever witnessed. Good winning over the evil is a concept I have always loved and in this one its portrayed in one of the best way :) History is witness to two major things about women, one they have been tortured and suppressed and also the root cause of most of the wars and evils, sad but true,I rest my case :) Letting any bit of the story out would be completely unfair to not only to the genius S.S. Rajamouli but to the entire cast and crew who have put their best read heart and soul. Loved the performances by every actor: Prabhas - he is so good, his eyes speak really wonder why Bollywood does not give him any opportunity, guess its Bollywood's loss Rana Dagubatti - Bhallaldeva couldn't have been played by anyone else surely, again Bollywood's loss, such a good looking dude Anushka Shetty -Pretty and very powerful and again Bollywood's loss if they have still not discovered Ramya Krishnan - Superb performance,23 years back when I saw her in the opening song of 'Khalnayak' I thought even then she was superb. Nassar - Versatile is the word,he never fails to amaze me. Sathyaraj - great job,a character of immense importance The movie is worth every bit of hype and more thats been created for the last two years. This magnum cinema has to be viewed in the big screen, its your loss if you don't :) Of course recommended you just can't afford to miss this one , I am gonna watch this one again :) The best Indian movie release of 2017 so far undoubtedly :)
