Desi Boyz – I was mentally prepared to watch some extreme senseless madness, crass humor, glorification of male strippers and of course the hot combination of Akshay Kumar ,Chitrangada Singh, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone but to be honest I was actually quite surprised with a movie which is not bad when I compare it to the umpteenth masala flicks that gets churned out of Bollywood week after w...eek, must say the last two months of the year 2011 would turn out the best for Bollywood like the first two months of year 2011 (Jan and Feb 2011 did have some good Hindi movie releases for sure).
This one is a complete feel good comedy far away from reality of course but then what the hell that’s what movies are supposed to do take you away from the humdrum and reality of life
Akshay Kumar was really good in terms of acting apart from looking super good it was really great to see him in a good form after a long time.
John Abraham is super hot and acting is ok too
Deepika Padukone awesome just love this Bangalore girl
Chitrangada Singh please come in movies often she is fabulous
Last but not the least welcome Director Rohit Dhawan its all in the family I guess (he is son of director – David Dhawan)
Music is hummable so I would recommend this one rest assured you will not get bored for sure and won’t demand your money back

The Muppets
The Muppets - I was quite a follower of this show during school days and this movie brought back those memories ,this one is extremely entertaining and adorable movie about the muppets reuniting for a big show and regain the muppet theater,it was a sheer delight to watch all the muppets from different corners of their life getting together for the same goal. All you muppet lovers please don't miss this movie this is one of a kind.Enjoyed it thoroughly :)
The Dirty Picture - Not Dirty but Sultry and Sexy :)
The Dirty Picture - Nothing dirty about it but everything sultry, sexy with a real good story and fantastic performances.Vidya Balan 10/10 for the most awesomest performance Girl you deserve a standing ovation and now I can surely see Vidya in the league of Smita Patil,Shabana Azmi I have always liked her now I just love her for a portrayal so fantastic and taking up a role which requires whole lot... of courage and guts in a society where everyone is obsessed with this quintessential image of good girl..way to go Vidya Balan proud of you..you are just brilliant thank God we have a Vidya Balan :)
Amazingly well written story by Rajat Arora and the dialogues are superb
Milan Luthria please make more of these kind of movies.
Ekta Kapoor & Shobha Kapoor - All your 3rd rate TV serials could be overlooked when you produce movies of this stature...Keep the money rolling for these kind of movies :)
Naseeruddin Shah - Awesome portrayal of a bastard of an old superstar only great acting can get the audience hating a character this way,so you were superb so what if I wanted to slap your character really hard on his face and break his
bones :)
Tushhar - Good portrayal of a slimeball character who has no spine at all
Emran Hashmi - You are not bad for sure :)
Anju Mahendroo - Loved her portrayal of the bitch of a journalist she was fabulous there is still something very sexy about her ..

Puss in Boots
Puss in Boots - Extremely entertaining movie from Dreamworks.Puss in Boots has been my favorite character since childhood and seeing a full fledged movie dedicated on him apart from the Shrek series is sheer joy to watch and there is a bit of other popular fairytale characters as well like that of Humpty Dumpty and a yes there is a bit of the Beanstalk story thrown into but overall a real good result.
And the voice overs by Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek are just excellent what a sexy combination couldn't have been better choices for the voice overs for sure.Fantastic Animation.Recommended :)

Aarakshan - Worth A Watch For Sure..A Noble Subject And There Is Nothing Objectionable Trust Me...
I am seriously confused why would any section of our society would object to this well made movie handling a noble subject which is education is the fundamental right for all coming from any sphere of society.
This movie if watched with the right mindset definitely kindles the India spirit and tells us to bring about a change possible within our best abilities and instead of mere discussion lets get into action whenever there's an opportunity available and what better weekend to watch this kind of awe inspiring about nation development movie than the Independence Day weekend.
Yes the movie does explore the reservation system in India for the Scheduled Castes and Tribes and Other Backward Castes but in a very generic way without really running down either sect. But the main focus does not lie there the film actually takes on the education system ,it exposes discriminatory aspects of the system and hypocrisy in private and governmental educational institutes in the country and does a damn good job at that.
Have to give it to Prakash Jha for always coming up with a winner in terms of socially relevant movies be it Damul dealing about bonded laborMrityudand on gender inequity,Gangajal based on a true incident in Bhagalpur,Apharan on the abduction situation in Bihar,Rajneeti dealing with political affairs and yet again he has got a winner in hands with this one (Aarakshan).
It is a fact we believe in equal rights for all and yet, we continue to be a caste-based society.
Performance wise everyone(Amitabh Bacchan,Saif Ali Khan,Tanvi Azmi,Prateik Babbar,Yashpal Sharma,Deepika Padukone,Manoj Bajpai)has managed to give stellar performances but AB Baby rocks and totally stands out seriously his performance deserves a standing ovation and yes he is the best example of age is just a number..Man he seems to be getting better by day I am sure his best is yet to come.Eyes got moist in many a scenes with him.
This one is about grit, determination, love, friendship and most importantly about standing for what you believe and not giving up on it come what may.
Dialogues are brilliant in this movie totally shakes you up and inspires you.
'Be the change you want to see in this world’ is the core message of this movie and trust me they couldn't have conveyed in any better way.
This one is daring, heroic engaging movie which should not be missed.
Don't miss it...
